April 22nd is Earth Day, as you may or may not know. If you don’t know, then let me school you, courtesy of Wikipedia:
Earth Day is one of two observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth‘s environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969.
In celebration of Earth Day my very talented, very good friend Yoyo over at TOPSTITCH.ORG is working really hard on assembling some tote bags that she’s GIVING AWAY for free. They’re gonna have some awesome stuff in them, including two each one-of-a-kind “collectible” (yeah… not really) recipe cards featuring Cupcake Rehab recipes, one cupcake/frosting recipe and one savory recipe, tons of other fun stuff too and best part- its really easy to win.
All you have to do is trek on over here, and read the rules. Then do it!
And if you win, please consider using these totes as reusable bags when you go shopping, and please recycle all your plastic bottles, metal cans, etc. It really does make a difference, and every little bit helps. If you don’t win, then consider using reusable bags and recycling anyway! Being a dick is so 2002, try being a good person and making a difference. It costs nothing to recycle and reuse a bag!

I will proudly admit that I am a huge recycling junkie… kinda sad in fact that I often walk around the house just to look for stuff to recycle!
