Military Monday

August 24, 2009

Gorgeous patriotic cupcake by One Ordinary Day

….

Another week, another Military Monday post. Military Monday is an effort to honor and remember those who have lost their lives in the war in Iraq (and Afghanistan) and their families, and to also remember those who are still fighting. I ask everyone to do their own personal Military Monday, be it on Twitter (don’t forget to add #MilitaryMonday to your tweet!), Facebook, MySpace or on your own blog. Visit our MM archives to read more about the Military Monday phenomenon.

I think way too many people are so wrapped up in their own lives and the soap operas they create that they don’t even take a minute to think about those fighting overseas. Hopefully, Military Monday will change that.
