The first Military Monday of December is here. As the holiday season gets in full swing, let’s not forget those who’ve lost so much.

And please don’t forget the servicemen and women who are still involved in the two wars we’re in as well. Please think about adopting a soldier (from Adopt a Soldier, Operation Adopt a Soldier or Soldier’s Angels), adopting a Platoon (at Adopt a Platoon) or sending some much needed items to our troops through organizations such as Any Soldier & Operation Shoebox, or donating money to the USO. It’s the least we can do. This is probably the hardest time of year to be away from family and friends. Not that there’s an easy time, but I’m sure we can all agree spending Christmas far away from home in a war zone isn’t an ideal situation. It’s up to us to try and make their Christmases (or Hanukkahs or Kwanzaa’s…) as merry and bright as possible.
