Military Monday.

April 18, 2011
My Uncle Pat, when he was in the Navy during the Korean War

..

This week’s Military Monday is dedicated to the memory of my uncle, who passed away last week. May he rest in peace, along with the other departed soldiers, from any & every war and era and age. They deserve so much more respect than they get.

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you’ve read this a million times already, but in regards to my uncle & his passing, I’d like to thank once again all the friends of mine & people who are fans of the site who made a donation in his memory to the American Diabetes Association; John, Chrisie, Yoyo, Kelly and everyone else. It’s so touching, it means so much and both me & my family appreciate it so much. He was a wonderful man, and I hope his legacy (especially his spirit of kindness & generosity) lives on forever, and to know that other diabetics will be helped by these donations, it certainly will. If you donated & didn’t tell me, or didn’t fill out the notification information area, please let me know, either in the comments or via e-mail so I can thank you personally.
