Military Monday.

Rita Hayworth did her part to help during WWII

Last Monday we all got news Osama bin Laden had been killed by U.S. Navy SEALS, and everyone here was relieved. But I really wish that they would still remember all our troops who lost their lives in the past 8+ years of war, and all the soldiers still overseas, not to mention all previous veterans of wars. But this isn’t over yet, folks, unfortunately. So like Rita up there, we have to do our part whenever possible. And to me that means not letting anyone forget for one minute all these lives lost.

  1. Couldn’t agree more. I won’t breathe a sigh of any relief until those still serving (and their families) are home safe and sound, or are stationed in areas that aren’t active war zones. Thank you for your enduring efforts to remind us of priorities and perspective.

  2. I think it’s so incredibly important to remember & support our military, regardless of how we feel about war. This is their job, they don’t want to be away from family & friends, or be in harms way every day, etc. But that’s what they do. They take the orders they’re given because that’s what they signed up for. So I give them so much credit & support, despite not being supportive of the wars themselves.

  3. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a friend who has been doing a little homework on this.
And he in fact bought me breakfast due to the fact that I found it for him…
