Today I’m posting something new. I’m new to “blog hops” so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But here I am! Me & my blogger friends have created a blog hop unlike all the others. See, this is one blog hop I can get down with.

You’ve probably noticed by now that I don’t quite fit a mold when it comes to bloggers. I can fit in with a lot of different bloggers, and really, I’m mainly a food blogger. But the typical food blog isn’t quite 100% me. The perfect pictures, the backgrounds that are brightly colored paper and the sun hitting the food just so- that’s not me. I can’t fake the funk. I’ll always take pictures in my kitchen or dining area, and while they might be beautiful, they’ll never be perfect. And my writing will never be politically correct or sickeningly sweet. And I’ll always bake in a White Zombie, Black Sabbath, Dropkick Murphy’s or Green Day shirt- with a cute little apron. And that’s totally cool. I like being who I am, and I love that I have readers that do too. But it’s nice when I find a group of other people who feel the same. My self-imposed loner status might be short-lived, guys.

See, there are Sean Yseult’s & Joan Jett’s in the world, and then there are Taylor Swift’s in the world. And there’s room for everyone. I’ll just never be a Taylor Swift (thank cupcakes for that!)… so thankfully I’ve found like-minded individuals! And maybe, just maybe, you’re not a Taylor Swift either. If that’s true… then read on…

The premise behind our blog hop, in addition to being for the “unique” bloggers out there, is to link to your favorite post you’ve written in the past 7 days. It can be about anything, just as long as it was written in the past week. The post I’m linking to is my recent Sourpuss Clothing/Dia de Los Muertos giveaway post.   7. This is really cool! It is sometimes hard to find others out there that share the same interests, or at least the same insane yet normal interests. I’ve already have several tabs open to check out some new blogs. I’m so happy I found your blog, along with others that don’t really fit into a mold, know it, and own it!

  8. Cathy- that little box up there that says ‘CTRL-C to copy’ above it? You copy what’s in there and paste it in the sidebar of your blog in your wordpress editor. That’s it! Then add your link via the button with the little blue frog there… under all the other links. Ta-da!

    Kate- That’s exactly how I feel, too. But sometimes there’s beauty in finding other misfits, you know? Enjoy your winnings 😀

  25. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  33. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

    loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.

    I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
