Military Monday.

April 19, 2010
Fourth of July Star cake fom The Kitchn

As my first year of doing Military Monday’s comes to a close (this coming June), I guess I’m sorta reflecting back on the past year, and all the names I’ve listed. I don’t know how many of you actually read them, but I do. And I find it heartbreaking. The ages really make it hit home too. Most of these soldiers are younger than me… that’s really mind blowing to think about.

If you’re interested in how this phenomenon started, please read my first Military Monday entry. Then, feel free to browse the archives.

  1. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

  2. Good day! This is my first visit to your blog!

We are a team of volunteers and starting a new initiative in a community in the same niche.

  6. I’ve been surfing online more than 2 hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty
worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as
you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.

  7. I think this is among the most important info for me.
And i’m glad reading your article. But want to remark on some general things,
The website style is perfect, the articles is really nice : D.
    Good job, cheers

  8. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all.
But think about if you added some great images or videos to give
your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips,
this blog could definitely be one of the greatest in its field.
    Fantastic blog!

  9. A lot of thanks for all of your labor on this website.

My mother really loves working on investigation and
it is easy to see why. My spouse and i hear all about the powerful way you offer efficient information via this
web blog and even welcome response from people on that matter so
my child is in fact becoming educated a lot. Enjoy the remaining portion of the new year.
You have been conducting a really great job.[X-N-E-W-L-I-N-S-P-I-N-X]I am extremely impressed with your writing abilities

a paid theme or did you customize it your self?

Anyway keep up the excellent high quality writing, it’s uncommon to look a nice weblog
    like this one these days.

  10. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  11. Wow that was odd. I just wrote an extremely long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up.
Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Anyway,
just wanted to say excellent blog!

  12. Does your site have a contact page? I’m having trouble locating it but, I’d like to shoot you an email.
I’ve got some creative ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing.
Either way, great blog and I look forward to seeing
    it develop over time.

  13. fantastic publish, very informative. I ponder why the opposite experts of this sector don’t realize this.
You must continue your writing. I’m sure, you’ve
    a huge readers’ base already!

  14. Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive
a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  15. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any recommendations
or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
