Another Military Monday. In case you’re unfamiliar with this concept: each week I list names of soldiers who’ve lost their lives in one of the wars the United States is currently participating in, usually accompanied by a patriotic or red/white/blue baked item or food. I’ve been doing it since May of 2009 when Yoyo asked me to do it with her, & I think I’ve only missed one week.
I’m so very proud of our military, especially it being a volunteer service. These people volunteer to do what the rest of us wouldn’t. They deserve so much better from us as a country.
Not to mention support for our troops is NOT a singularly political idea. It’s not a Republican or Democratic or Independent thing. It’s just the right thing.
