We were hungry for change, and that change is here.

As of this evening, November 4th 2008 at 11 p.m. EST, Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th President of the United States of America. I’m even more proud to be an American today than I normally am. His story is a real American story; proof that you can be anything you want, that you can grab yourself by your bootstraps and come from a single-parent family on welfare and food stamps, to see your mother fight with insurance companies while dying of cancer because they refused to cover her treatment, to get yourself to Harvard, to win a seat in the U.S. Senate, and to eventually be President. History in the making, the first black President of the United States. What a time to be alive!
I can’t wait to tell my children and grandchildren that I voted for the first black President.
Congratulations, Senator Obama… er, should I say, President-Elect Obama.

I’m proud that you had a chance to vote for such an historic election. I also voted for Obama. As for poor Caroline, I truly pity somebody that can’t appreciate how far we’ve come in such a short time period.
Congratulations President-Elect Obama!

I deleted Caroline’s comment, and marked it as spam in case she decides to come back and try and harrass me further… not because I don’t respect other people’s opinions, but because I do not respect bigots, racists, and rude people that come to MY website that I run and call me names. If she had stated it in an adult way, then things would’ve been different and I’d have left her comment up here. Oh well, some people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
